The adidas Calabasas shoes are reminiscent of the past, yet refreshed for the next generation. Kanye West's YEEZY line with adidas is traditionally rooted in avant garde designs, futuristic concepts and aesthetics. But like the G.O.O.D. Music founder’s past creative endeavors have shown, expecting the unexpected is always your best bet. Enter the adidas Yeezy Calabasas Powerphase, a shoe that pivots by pulling from the past in a very overt way. The Yeezy Calabasas model brings the Powerphase silhouette into the new age, with simple, supple white leather construction. Calabasas branding appears in gold on the side, just under the adidas branding and behind the last of the Three Stripes. The Calabasas name is a nod to the West's current California residence. The release is accompanied by a much-teased capsule collection featuring accompanying apparel. POSITIVELY CONSCIOUS: Adidas Group scores 4 out 5 by independent ethical brand rating agency Good On You.
